Like other sectors of the digital economy, the industry faces challenges related to the protection of rights, online safety, content governance, and responsible use of technologies.
Recognizing the importance of strengthening responsible practices and contributing to a safer and more transparent digital environment, ABIPEA – Brazilian Association of the Adult Entertainment Industry and Professionals presents the Brazilian Digital Responsibility Pact for the Adult Market.
The pact is a voluntary commitment by companies, platforms, and professionals in the sector to principles of digital responsibility, respect for people's rights, and institutional cooperation.
The participation of minors in any activity related to adult entertainment is absolutely incompatible with the sector.
Signatory companies and platforms commit to adopting measures to prevent and combat the presence of minors in environments intended exclusively for adults.
Adult content must be produced and distributed exclusively with the consent of the people involved.
Signatory companies commit to encouraging practices that ensure respect for image rights and the possibility of contesting content when there is a legitimate question about consent.
Content creators operating in environments intended for adult audiences must ensure that all people involved are over 18 years of age and participate voluntarily and with consent.
The production and publication of content must respect image rights, privacy, and the rules of the platforms used.
Digital platforms play a relevant role in maintaining safe online environments.
Signatory organizations commit to adopting clear usage policies, reporting mechanisms, and moderation procedures appropriate to the nature of their services.
Signatory organizations commit to maintaining clear rules on content publication, usage policies, and procedures for analyzing reports.
Transparency contributes to building trust between companies, users, and society.
Signatory organizations recognize the importance of permanent dialogue with public authorities, regulators, and institutions responsible for internet governance.
Whenever necessary, companies commit to collaborating with competent authorities under the terms of Brazilian legislation.
